SOLUTION ENGINEER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The Solution Engineer Certification Program is an offering within the Digital Adoption Institute that provides the opportunity for individuals to expand their skills in the WalkMe product and become a certified technical professional in Digital Adoption.

My team and I collaborated with our Services organization to brainstorm and assess what makes a Solution Engineer successful within the company and how we can translate those necessary knowledge and skills for customers, partners, and the general public.

What we created was a 6-7 week program that incorporated a combination of self-study courses, instructor-led workshops, and a final capstone project.

The instructor-led workshops are comprised of four sessions that deep dive into more advanced topics that are not covered in the self-study courses.

WORKSHOP 1

PLAN

Participants learn how to discover digital adoption opportunities with clients in order to achieve business goals.

WORKSHOP 2

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Participants learn how to test and troubleshoot their solutions in order to ensure that a high-quality solution is ready to be published live.

WORKSHOP 3

JQUERY

Participants learn the basics of HTML and writing jQuery selectors in order to optimize their WalkMe builds.

WORKSHOP 4

ANALYSIS

Participants learn how to assess the value and impact of their WalkMe solution by going over data on WalkMe Insights.

Upon completion of the workshops, participants must complete a final capstone project where they must apply everything they've learned and build their own WalkMe solution. For the final projects, I created four case studies that participants can use for their builds. Below is a small example of one of the four use cases that I created.

Each case study challenges the participant to think critically on what business objective their WalkMe solution is addressing. In addition, it also challenges the participant to create a WalkMe solution that is both valuable and effective in addressing the business objective.

My team and I also created a grading rubric to ensure that each final project meets a certain criteria. Because the certification program focused on the skills required to be a Solution Engineer, we ensured that the rubric was weighted heavily on the technicality and quality of the WalkMe build. Some of the criteria included whether or not the participant incorporated multiple apps, whether or not they made the appropriate rule configurations to optimize performance, and whether or not they applied building best practices.

This was one of the best certification programs I have ever attended. I need to start my next project on WalkMe and nothing could have prepared me better.
